Share

In 1949, the Alouettes made it to the Grey Cup for the first time in their young history. Filchock, the quarterback, played a key role during the 1949 Grey Cup when he led the team to victory with an incredible offensive and defensive performance. Three thousand Montreal fans, led by mayor Camillien Houde, went with the team to Toronto to cheer them on.
